Hallowed Tribe - A Song

Dedicated to the Karen of Burma

A response to the students of KBTS
Hallowed Tribe

(1)
Light came soon
penetrated the darkness of our land
We were the forgotten ones
Afraid of life (voice 2), did time stand still...
like Judson, our judge, we saw our Messiah

Purchased too
The flood of living water--covers our land
We're not the forgotten ones
Added to the family (voice 2), we begin again
No hurt, no pain, can separate from our Savior.

Chorus: Praise God our strength, our defender,
our King. In His ways, we have the strength
to sing. And sing. We sing

Glory
Glory to King
Glory
Glory to King

What can stop us now? Not death, not danger, not fear,
not trouble, not might, not famine,
--He delivers.
--Our Lord--He is more--our reward.

(2)
Thank God for the blood
running through our land
to wipe away death in the end

Thank God for the enemy's knives at our throats
We bleed Hope, so others hear and know
He lives
Oh with every sigh, we see the Kingdom.

What can stop us now? Not death, not danger, not fear,
not trouble, not might, not famine,
--He delivers.
--Our Lord--He is more--our reward.

For we are standing on the rock
And His strength and light in us shines strong
God gives us the strength to war
And tells the story of His Love through us.

Chorus: Praise God our strength, our defender,
our King. In His ways, we will have the strength
to sing. And sing. We sing...

Glory
Glory to King
Glory
Glory to King

What can stop us now? Not death, not danger, not fear,
not trouble, not might, not famine,
--He delivers.
--Our Lord--He is more--our reward.
